Assistant Facilities Officer (CCTV System and ELV Installations) (Ref. 19091204-E17)

Duties


The appointee will report to the Technical Services Section and be required to:

(a)    assist in the planning and implementation of repair, maintenance, and alterations and additions works;

(b)    lead a team of skilled front-line staff in providing client-focused facilities management services and arrange all necessary follow-up/remedial works;

(c)    liaise with contractors and oversee the implementation of scheduled works;

(d)    follow up job orders and monitor the progress/quality of work performed by contractors and in-house staff;

(e)    carry out routine checking and inspection of security/access control systems, ironmongery, closed circuit television (CCTV) system and other Extra Low Voltage (ELV) installations in buildings;

(f)    perform shift duties including working on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays when necessary; and

(g)    handle any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a recognised certificate/diploma in a related discipline plus substantial work experience in security/access control systems, ironmongery, CCTV system and other ELV installations; and

(b)    sound knowledge of the operation of facilities management industry.

Preference will be given to those with Registered Electrical Worker License, knowledge of related ordinances, code of practice and regulations as well as experience in preparation of specifications.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  We offer competitive fringe benefits to eligible staff including 5-day work week, 14 days of annual leave, 14 weeks of maternity leave or 7 days of paternity leave, as well as medical and dental benefits for staff and their eligible dependants, etc.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
