Applications are invited for:
Estates Management Office
Works Supervisor(s) I/II (Builder Works) (2 posts)(Ref. 20000232) (Closing date: January 19, 2021)
Post A: The appointee(s) will (a) manage and supervise project works; (b) lead and supervise internal staff in building maintenance/renovation works, and take measurements at sites; and (c) perform regular building inspections and other technical duties as assigned.
Post B: The appointee(s) will (a) provide assistance in inspection and repair works of Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme and check the condition of campus buildings regularly and compile inspection reports; (b) manage and supervise project works; and (c) perform other technical duties as assigned. He/She may be required to work overtime, on shifts and on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays when necessary.
Applicants should have (i) a Diploma or Higher Certificate, preferably in Building Studies, from a recognised university or technical institute; OR at least 5 years’ relevant site supervising experience, with Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE/HKDSE (including English and Mathematics); (ii) at least 3 years’ supervisory experience subsequent to fulfilling (i) above, in builder works and frontline staff management/inspection; and (iii) knowledge of facilities management software or similar applications. Possession of a valid driving licence (Class 1 and 2) will be advantageous. Those with less but at least 1 year’s relevant post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Works Supervisor(s) II.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
